Please join us in welcoming Matthew “Matt” Hoffman as JHSC’s new FIS Head Coach! 🎿

Matt comes to Jackson from Minnesota, where he has spent the past 10 years coaching athletes from U14 through FIS, both on snow and in the gym. An experienced head coach with a strong background in strength and conditioning, sport science, and athlete development, Matt brings a holistic coaching approach centered on the athlete experience.

Matt is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USSS Level 200 Alpine Coach, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from St. Olaf College. This winter, he will complete his master’s degree in Sport Coaching through the University of Denver.

“It’s an amazing opportunity with a snowsports program that has some of the richest history in the US,” Matt said. “I look forward to joining the community and learning more with everyone and helping find positive opportunities for our athletes no matter what their goals are.”

As he steps into the FIS role, Matt is focused on helping athletes approach challenge and change with excitement, curiosity, and confidence.

“Ski racing is hard; travel, tough days, etc... but the friends and teammates you have and the experiences you share make all that worth it. We can grow faster together than each of us on our own.”

Welcome to JHSC, Matt! We are excited for the season ahead!
