Heads up, neighbors! 🎉 The Idaho State Penitentiary is hosting Party at the Pen this weekend. It’s always a fun and unique community event, but we also want to give everyone a quick notice that you may see lots of motorcycles in the neighborhood as part of the festivities.

If you’re planning to attend, enjoy the celebration — and if you’re staying home, just be aware of the extra traffic and activity in the area. Thanks for helping keep our neighborhood welcoming and supportive of community events!

📣 Neighborhood Notice: Armory CUP Appeal – Public Hearing August 12 📣

A Conditional Use Permit (CUP25-00011) for the historic Armory building at 801 E. Reserve St. is going before Boise City Council. The proposal would allow the site to be used as a religious institution.

As your Neighborhood Association, we want to make sure East End residents are aware of this proposal and know how to engage with the public process.

EENA is not taking a formal stance on the application. We appreciate the effort to restore and maintain this historic space and recognize the importance of activating it in a meaningful way. At the same time, we want to ensure that any use of the site considers the safety and accessibility of the surrounding area—especially with regard to transportation and traffic flow.

We encourage all residents to review the materials and share their perspectives with the city ☺️
