May 31st, 3pm-5pm we'll be watching Porco Rosso, one of my favorite Ghibli movies! We'll end a bit early, but it should take up about an hour and a half. Isekai Japanese Arcade & Gashapon is the location!

We are back on. I talked to the isekai Isekai Japanese Arcade & Gashapon and they said that as long as there's no more drama, we can still meet there! I've spoken with our regulars, and they are still in. The only problem is that the arcade is booked for most Sundays this summer. I will post when we have a schedule and what days we will be meeting. Hopefully, it will still remain Sundays. It may be every second or third Sunday instead of every Sunday. I hope to give us a place to me that can be stable and productive.

I'm cancelling meetings for the foreseeable future. Deanna and I broke up and it appears that we can't be friends. She was an integral part of all of this and without her I'd rather not do it.

Hi! Deanna here. Soooooo, it occurred to me that Im kinda just taking the themed thing and running with it without an official vote. Do you all like the themed idea or do you want to go back to just watching the same stuff every week? The idea behind the theme was to just introduce people to a variety by just showing one episode of something then moving on. I was really impressed with the crowd we got last Sunday, we got a bunch of new people coming in, but I know some of you guys like routine. Lemme know in the comments. If enough people like it we'll stick with themes but we can change back if you guys don't. I have a ton of ideas but I don't want to just steamroll over everyone lol. I also thought the snack thing was a fantastic idea, do we want to explore the possibility of doing like a potluck sort of thing where everyone brings snacks to share? Maaaaaaaaybe have like a very small dues thing to put towards bringing a party tray of something and some pop? We could also do a monthly pre-meeting meetup at a restaurant or a monthly potluck where everyone brings a dish to share and we get our nom on. Marty and I found this amazing Asian Bistro called Bamboo that's super cheap and really good. They have very tasty Ramen, Sushi and Bento Boxes and their lunch specials are only 12-13 bucks a pop. I haven't discussed this with Marty yet but I am seeing him today. He may harrumph over it because its too much work and we usually go out for lunch beforehand but we'll see. Again, this is your club too! Feel free to chime in. Hedgehog out. *poofs in a cloud of glitter*

Our cat themed meetup was a huge success! A massive thank you to Denise and Sean for the yummy treats! It was awesome meeting you guys. Soooo, thoughts for next weeks theme? I was thinking Incredible Underdogs and showing Strongest Disciple Kennichi, Black Clover and two other episodes of something like that. As always we're open to suggestions! ATTENTION FELLOW OTAKU FRIENDS! I now have super Admin powers!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA- Kidding. So! They finally got us on the official shedule at Isekai, we ended early today due to only two people showing up, ty Courtney and our littlest club member Eris! In an attempt to market ourselves and bring in more members, starting next week we're going to try THEMED MEETINGS!!! YAAAAY! For our first curated event we've chosen NEKO NEKO YATTA!!! We will be showing cat centric anime, including the oldies but goodies, Nyaight of the living cat and the masterful cat is depressed again, plus two new ones Natsume's Book Of Friends ((SO CUTE)) and My Roommate is a Cat ((Also SO CUTE)). If we decide we like this, we can explore other themes, I'd like to do a Fun With Furries theme featuring animal people, school days, featuring high school drama/slice of life and maybe Ninja or Mech, Crime Fighting, Comedy or Isekai etc. Please feel submit recommendations See you guys next week!
