We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the tragic loss of Zamil Limon & Nahida Bristy, two Bangladeshi graduate students at the University of South Florida. This devastating incident has shaken communities across campuses and beyond, reminding us of the fragility of life and the importance of standing together in times of grief.

On behalf of the Bangladeshi Students Association at Boise State University, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of the victims. We also stand in solidarity with the Bangladeshi student community at USF and across the United States during this incredibly difficult time.

As members of a shared academic and cultural community, we mourn this loss together. We encourage everyone to support one another, check in on friends, and seek strength through unity and compassion.

May the departed rest in peace, and may their families find strength and comfort in this time of sorrow.

Mushfiqur Rahman tragically left us far too soon due to a heart attack last week. He leaves behind his wife and their two-year-old daughter.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji‘un.

We are deeply saddened to share the news that Mushfiqur Rahman, a former graduate student of Boise State University, who left this world following a sudden heart attack on January 28, 2026. His passing is a great loss for his family, friends, and the community that knew him.

He was a sincere and dedicated individual. He leaves behind his wife and child Anabiya, who are now facing this difficult test from Allah.

We pray that Allah forgives his sins, widen his grave, fill it with light, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah grant his family sabr (patience) and strength during this time of grief.

We kindly request everyone to remember Mushfiqur Rahman and his family in their du‘a.
