Idaho Fish and Game is closing all steelhead harvest in the Clearwater River basin, effective at the end of fishing hours on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Anglers will still be able to fish for steelhead in the Clearwater River basin under catch-and-release regulations, but harvest of steelhead will be closed...

We have a conservation project this Saturday Oct 3 at Marianne Williams Park and can use some more hands.

Start time at 9:00 am. We should be finished by 11:30 to 12:30.

Location: Marianne Williams Park located in east Boise. We'll meet in the parking lot. Their are heated restrooms at this location.

Main tasks:

1. Remove houndstooth, bull thistle and spotted knapweed. A plant specialist will provide additional details.

2. We will be picking up the trash that has accumulated over the summer.

Final 2026 Trout Camp recap post – Thank you!

Yes, our campers caught trout. Lots of them. But the biggest successes weren't measured in fish.

They were measured in first casts, growing confidence, cheering on new friends, learning how to safely handle and release fish, and seeing campers realize they could do something they never thought possible.

Every trout was released to fight another day, and every camper left with a deeper appreciation for the rivers and fish they now help protect.

That's a win every time.
