Member Event Spotlight | Idaho Bankers Association

Join the Idaho Bankers Association for the inaugural Women in Banking Connect on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Beginning at 4:30 p.m., this event will bring together women from across Idaho’s banking industry for an evening of connection, conversation, and entertainment. Tickets include complimentary food and beverage selections, networking opportunities, and a performance by award-winning comedian Megan McCaleb.

The Idaho Financial Literacy Coalition was honored to attend the Meta Community Grant Awardees Ceremony and tour Meta’s facility.

Without Meta’s generous support, we would not have been able to establish Teaching Financial Literacy: A Speaker Series. This initiative brings educators and financial professionals together to share knowledge, strengthen classroom-ready financial education, and help build lasting financial well-being for Idaho students.

We are deeply grateful to Meta for investing in this program and in the educators, students, and communities it serves across Idaho.

A financial professional, educator, and entrepreneur, Dr. Barclay Roper has more than two decades of experience in the financial industry. Dr. Roper specializes in financial analysis, investments, and personal financial planning. His research interests span equity asset valuation, portfolio management, and financial data analytics.

Meet our upcoming speaker: Nicole Kiefer, Director of Operations - Idaho Charter School Association

A proud Idahoan for most of her life, Nicole has also spent time living in Texas, Utah, California, Michigan, and even Spain. Her passion for education led her to earn an interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree—an achievement she’s especially proud of completing in her thirties. Nicole previously served as an Operations Manager, bringing a practical, student-centered approach to supporting schools and building strong organizational systems to the newly founded Idaho Charter School Association.

Teaching Financial Literacy: A Speaker Series
Partnering Educators & Financial Professionals to Build Classroom‑Ready Financial Literacy

The IFLC is proud to present this collaborative series, designed to blend real‑world financial expertise with proven teaching strategies, ensuring financial education concepts are accurate, engaging, and effective for students.

Please share with educators that could benefit from this Virtual Series!

Educators will gain:
• Classroom‑ready financial literacy lessons and resources
• New strategies for teaching complex financial topics
• Real-world insights from financial pros to bring learning to life

Session topics include: Credit & Debt, Financial Decisions, Investing, Budgeting and more.

Program Dates & Format:
The Financial Education Teacher Speaker Series will be held virtually from 9am – 11am MT on June 11th, 18th, 25th, and July 9th and 16th.
