This week our very own member, Janie Best, did her BEST to teach us all how to use Club Runner. I am sure we all have a much better understanding of the benefits of its usage.

Also at the meeting we awarded Mike Kapuscinski from the Treasure Valley Family YMCA a check from our Boise SW Rotary Foundation to help 3rd graders from Whitney Elementary the opportunity to take Swim lessons. We are always so proud of the things we accomplish in our community!

Join us Wednesday, September 30th at noon at the Riverside to hear from our newest member Bill Beck.

Special recognition and a huge THANK YOU to this weeks speaker, our very own member, Martina Lange.
Martina joined our Rotary after being invited to our spring Fundraiser. She jumped right in and helped and supported our Rotary! We appreciate her very much and are so glad she joined! Martina gave her classification talk, but before doing so, recognized all of the Veterans in our Boise SW Rotary Group. Martina is a Veteran herself. She left the military as a Sargent E5 (P). Her first job was a Parachute Rigger 43ECHO. After 8 years and 205 jumps, she served as a 64CHARLIE (aka truck driver). WOW! What a way to serve. THANK YOU, MARTINA for your service to our country and for continuing your service as a member of our Boise SW Rotary. To all our Veterans, we appreciate you! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thank you to the Boise SW Rotarians that volunteered at the Idaho Food Bank! It’s what Rotarians do….serving others!

Thank you to our special Guest Speaker last Wednesday, President Gordon Jones from College of Western Idaho. CWI is Idaho’s largest comprehensive community college, serving more than 34,000 learners across the Treasure Valley and the state. With a mission centered on delivering affordable, high quality, and accessible education, President Jones is deeply committed to expanding educational opportunities that lead to meaningful employment and improved life outcomes for all students.

Be sure to join us tomorrow, September 9th from noon - 1:15 in the Juniper Room at Riverside Hotel, 2900 W Chinden Blvd, Boise.

Our very important speaker will be Blaine Serrin of Perpetua Resources. Perpetua Resources is developing the Stibnite Gold Project in central Idaho where gold and antimony exist side by side. Past production of antimony and tungsten at Stibnite helped America win World War II. The modern-day Project is designed to responsibly extract precious and critical minerals our country needs once again while redeveloping a historical mine site in need of environmental repair after a century of mining.
