An internship can be the experience that launches a career — but many of the most meaningful opportunities are unpaid.

The Internship Support Fund provides stipends so students can accept internships they otherwise couldn't afford, especially with nonprofit and community organizations. Real experience. Career readiness. A degree that's ready for what's next.

This is 4 of 4 ways we're powering Student Success — and our full campaign launches next week. Learn more — and see how you can help — here: https://give.boisestate.edu/pages/student-resources 🧡💙

Join us for another Tapped Minds! 🧠

This month’s topic: Hidden in Plain Sight: The Story of Forever Chemicals with Jenee Cyran

How do chemicals designed to make products more durable become a lasting challenge for our environment? PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), often called "forever chemicals," can travel through water, soil, and ecosystems, creating pathways for human and animal exposure.

Join Jenée Cyran, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, as she uncovers the science behind how PFAS move through our world, from wildfire impacts and water sources to semiconductor manufacturing, and explores the science behind current efforts to remediate these chemicals in our environment and their impacts on human health.

• Monday, Sept. 14
• 6:00-7:00 p.m.
• Lost Grove Brewing

Tu Huynh is a proud Boise State alum, earning degrees in Business Administration and Marketing in 2018. Today, he serves as a Marketing Automation/eCommerce Specialist at Western States Caterpillar, where he enjoys collaborating across every area of the business while continuing to build community wherever he goes.

As one of the newest members of the BOLD (Broncos of the Last Decade) Committee, Tu is excited to help recent alumni stay connected and continue building the Bronco network.

"I'm excited to be around like-minded people who love Boise State and get to be a part of the Boise State alumni who want to make the community the best place."

Thank you, Tu, for continuing to strengthen the Bronco community and helping future alumni stay connected.
