💜 PURPLE PINKIES FOR POLIO! 💜

WHY THE PURPLE PINKY?
That little purple pinky represents something HUGE: a world without polio! 🌎

When children receive the polio vaccine, their pinky finger is marked with purple ink to show they've been immunized. It's a small mark with a BIG mission: protecting children from a disease that can cause lifelong paralysis.

Rotary has been fighting to eradicate polio for decades, and we're closer than ever to making history. But we can't cross the finish line without YOU! Support Rotary’s PolioPlus Fund.

🌶️🔥 BOISE, WE BROUGHT THE HEAT! 🔥🌶️

The votes are in, the chili winner has been crowned, and our community is $1,894 closer to making a BIG impact! 🙌

🎉 WE RAISED $1,122 AT OUR CHILI COOK-OFF!

Here's how we're turning chili into community impact:

💻 $376 in online donations

💵 $246 in cash donations

❤️ $250 from Todd Fisher directly to the Rotary Foundation

💙 $250 from Matt Hanrahan directly to Boise East

🌶️ $175 of the $1,122 total is from b**r, w**e, and chili entry fees which will go directly to PolioPlus!

The remaining $947 will be matched dollar for dollar by Boise East Rotary Club, bringing our donation to the Boise Firefighters' Community Assistance Fund to an incredible $1,894! 🚒❤️

The Rotary Club of Boise Sunrise is hosting our annual fundraiser on Saturday night October 17; Lobsterfest. This is a party and a meal that you don't want to miss. If you know the acronym FOMO, that applies here.

The community of Boise, and service to youth in particular, will benefit greatly from this event. And you will be surrounded by high character individuals who are all enjoying a tasty seafood meal while we leave it better than we found it.

Kate is putting her creativity and skill to work, creating gorgeous braided styles for her customers. From intricate patterns to beautiful protective styles, her talent truly shines through! 👏🏾✨

It’s amazing to see how support through our Rotary microloan is helping entrepreneurs like Kate grow their businesses, serve their communities, and build brighter futures.

On Tuesday, Boise East Rotary hit the highway for a little cleanup! Our crew worked together to pick up two full bags of trash and help keep our community looking its best.

🇺🇸 BOISE, LET’S TURN REMEMBRANCE INTO SERVICE. 🇺🇸

Boise East Rotary is proud to help spread the word about an incredible opportunity to honor the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 through service to our community.

On Friday, September 11, 2026, volunteers across Idaho will gather at JUMP Boise for the National September 11th Day of Service and Remembrance. Together, volunteers will help pack more than 124,000 meals for the Idaho Foodbank to distribute to people facing hunger right here in our community. ❤️

And they need volunteers to help make it happen!

🙌 Event Support Volunteers must be 18+ and will help keep this massive service project running smoothly. Roles include:

🌟 Table Captains: Lead and energize meal packing teams

💪 Heavy Lifters/Runners: Keep stations stocked and supplies moving

🤝 Guest Services: Welcome and assist volunteers

📦 Set Up Crew: Help prepare the event space

📅 SET UP: Thursday, September 10 | 11 AM to 3 PM

📅 EVENT SUPPORT: Friday, September 11 | 7:30 AM to 1 PM

📍 JUMP Boise | 1000 W Myrtle St

No previous experience is necessary, and training will be provided.

This is a chance to be part of something bigger. A day of unity, remembrance, and meaningful service right here in Boise.

🇺🇸 September 11 is a day to remember. It is also a day to serve.
