A small request on behalf of my dear friends who recently took on their own "S.E.E.C." project.

A 10-year-old girl in our community was recently taken from a very bad abuse situation where her grandparents were given emergency custody. As you can imagine, the grandparents were not prepared for this transition. Sara has done in incredible job asking our community to help purchase new bedroom furniture, clothes, needs and even uplifting decor - and proud to report that our community came through. 🙏🏼❤️

As a sweet, final touch, Sara would like to fill this beautiful box up with notes for her to read on hard days, reminding her that she is seen, loved and has a bright future ahead of her.

We were recently connected with a single dad caring for his 6-month-old baby boy after mom unexpectedly walked away. He’s doing his best and could really use the support of our community right now.

If you’re spring cleaning and have any baby items you’d be willing to donate (clothes, diapers, wipes, gear, etc.), we would love to pass them along. We’re happy to coordinate pickup.

I’ve also created an Amazon list of needed items if you’d prefer to help that way.

Calling my amazing, big-hearted Community -

We have a hardworking dad in our community who could use a little help right now. He has been sober for over 3 + years, is committed to building a stable life for himself and his 16-year-old son and works hard as a contractor. He has jobs lined up next month and is doing everything he can to stay on track — he just needs a small bridge to get there.

Today, he is $500 behind on rent with another $1,400 rent payment due next week.

He was very hesitant and embarrassed to ask for help, but this is exactly why SEEC exists — no judgment, just love and community support. 🫶🏼

If you feel led to help:

• Donations of any amount will go directly toward rent
• If you have contract work or small jobs, he would prefer to work for it and would make a huge difference.

Sometimes getting through a hard season just takes a community willing to stand beside someone. Thank you for being that kind of community - for being aware, being involved and loving others with us.

"I work at Hope Center Clinic here in Boise. We serve African refugees who have just come over to America. Most have escaped the genocide there, or other terrible atrocities.

I am looking for a winter coat & scarf for a boy size 6-8 (he is eight years old, but very small)…

And scarves for 17, 14, & 11 year old girls."

S.E.E.C is now accepting nominations for 2025 S.E.E.C. Christmas Families!

TO NOMINATE - Send an email to [email protected] with information, history and reason why you feel they could use some extra love from us this year. We are partnering directly with a social worker this year, so spots are limited. Nominations due: Sunday, December 14th.

TO GIVE: (few ways)
1. Time: If you'd like to donate your time to shop, wrap or deliver - reach out to [email protected] with specifics.

2. Adopt a Family: If your family would like to adopt another family, reach out to us at [email protected] and let us know how involved you would like to be. You can shop, shop and wrap, shop and wrap and deliver. It's up to you!

S.E.E.C. Thanksgiving Family Dinner!

Due to the recent pause on benefits and the overwhelm for our local food banks, we would love to know of any families that could use a ready-to-eat Thanksgiving meal delivered to them on Thanksgiving morning.
