Meet our new Data Analyst, Dr. Christian Lindke!

Christian turns our survey data into clear insights that help communities across Idaho focus their efforts on upstream prevention. He also teaches political science as an adjunct professor at Boise State University.

Before joining C4Y, Christian most recently worked as a research analyst for Ada County Juvenile Services, where he saw firsthand the positive effect of upstream prevention on youth well-being.

When he’s not working, you can probably find Christian hanging out with his family or playing a game. He owns more than 1,000 board and role-playing games and is always on the lookout for a new one.

Hey, Communities for Youth Boise friends! The City of Boise is launching a new E-Mobility task force, and teens are invited to apply.

Task force members will work alongside city officials to develop educational outreach strategies and inform potential policy updates. This is a great hands-on opportunity for young people who want to get involved in their community.

Meet the newest addition to the C4Y team, Kenzie Campbell! 🥳

Kenzie joins us as an Initiative Coordinator and will be working alongside school and community leaders to promote upstream prevention and strengthen youth mental health and well-being.

She’s a lifelong Idahoan who first interned with us in 2021, and we are so excited to have her back on the team!

Now that we’ve covered what risk and protective factors are, let’s take a look at some of the most common ones impacting teens across our state. ⬇️

These insights come from this year’s Idaho Youth Well-being Survey (IYWS), which measured key risk and protective factors for teens living in Idaho and included responses from more than 10,000 students across 66 middle and high schools.
