Boise Tree Captains A people-led canopy project. Boise Tree Captains are helping reach the the goals set by the Elaine Clegg City of Trees Challenge.

Boise Tree Captains are local volunteer leaders working to enhance the health of Boise neighborhoods through tree planting, advocacy, and stewardship. Learn more about the Challenge: https://city-of-trees-challenge-boise.hub.arcgis.com/

Boise Tree Captains is a program managed by the Treasure Valley Canopy Network and supported by City of Boise Parks and Recreation and City of Good.

Looking for a beautiful tree for your home? šŸ” It’s time for our fall Shade Tree Giveaway!Ā 

Choose one of the three species of trees: Riverbrich, Sweetgum, or Tuliptree. You can view more details about each tree in the Treasure Valley Tree Selection Guide. Trees come in 3 gallon pots and are ~2 feet tall. Order your tree at tvcanopy.net/shadetreegiveaway (link in profile)

Trees arrive in early November. Additional coordination about tree pickup and locations will be shared with Tree Recipients. Arborists will be available on site to answer questions and provide planting and tree care instruction.

The Elaine Clegg City of Trees Challenge is supported by the City of Boise and the Treasure Valley Canopy Network. Together, we are working to reach our goal of planting 100,000 trees in Boise by 2030. This year, we are able to offer 2 rounds of tree giveaways.

Join us to conduct an inventory of the current trees on the St. Luke’s Boise campus. No experience necessary-training will be provided.
