Thanks to everyone who helped make our 2026 6th Grade Farewell so special! From partying to our first Dropoff With Donuts, we loved celebrating and couldn’t have done it without parent support.

🍩 6th Grade Parents — You’re Invited! 🍩

Join us for “Drop Off with Donuts” on FRIDAY, May 22 from 8:00–8:45 AM as we celebrate their accomplishment and their last day of elementary school. ❤️

Come enjoy donuts and coffee with other 6th grade parents as we take a moment to reflect, connect, and celebrate how far our students have come. From first-day jitters as kinders to this final elementary school morning, it’s been an amazing journey together. See how you can contribute to our morning.

Late to share, but we couldn’t miss the chances to share our beautiful Kindness Quilt. 💙

Our students, families, and staff came together to tie the threads of our Kindness Quilt — a special project created in the library featuring 300+ ways we show and celebrate kindness throughout our school community.

From helping a friend, to including others, to showing respect and encouragement, every square represents the heart of Valley View Elementary.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, tied a piece of the quilt, shared a cookie, and helped bring this meaningful project to life. We’re so proud of the caring community we’re building together — one act of kindness at a time. ✨

What an amazing Teacher Appreciation Week in true 1990’s style! We finished the week in TGIF style by handing out stereo gift bags, complete with Book It personal pans pizzas from our local Pizza Hut just around the corner on Ustick Road. Swing by today to get your own, and tell them you’re a proud Valley View Cheetah too!

🏁 Only ONE more day to sprint to the finish!
Our Valley View Fun Run cheetah is blazing past the competition 🐆💨—zooming by turtles, hopping over horses, and charging toward our $10,000 finish line!
We’ve already raised $5,689 (amazing!!), but we’re not done yet. Let’s kick it into top speed and finish strong!

Join us in giving back to our community during Kindness Week! We’re collecting essential items to support local families in need:
🧴 Personal hygiene items (shampoo, deodorant, soap, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, etc.)
🧼 Cleaning supplies (laundry detergent, dish soap, cleaning wipes, etc.)
🥪 Lunch boxes & reusable water bottles
Every donation—big or small—helps make a difference. Thank you for spreading kindness with us! 💫

So excited to meet authors and hear guest readers from the community at our Author Night tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4.
Food trucks open at 5:30 in the bus parking lot, and doors open at 5:45. Tango’s Empenadas and Scotty Dogs will have awesome options for the family, and Rediscovered Books will be on hand with books as well.
