This is why we do what we do.

Not just meetings… not just skills…
But real experiences.

Hiking new trails, discovering places you didn’t know existed, and building friendships along the way.

Confidence doesn’t come from sitting still—it comes from doing hard, new, and sometimes uncomfortable things.

And these girls are doing exactly that.

It was a beautiful day for some trash cleanup.

Troop 404G did a great job cleaning up tons of bags of garbage at Succor Creek and 404B had an awesome day of highway cleanup!

We believe it’s our job to be stewards of the land. Don’t leave your mess for someone else to clean up because one day people may stop trying.

Sometimes the best moments aren’t planned — they just happen because we chose to be outside.
Recently our scouts watched the sun dip behind the mountains, standing among rocks and open sky, miles away from TVs, video games, and busy schedules.

This is one of the things Scouting gives them…
Time outside.
Real experiences.
Quiet moments.
And memories they don’t even realize they’re making yet.

While others are inside scrolling, our scouts are out here watching the day end in the best way possible.

These are the moments that stick.

Troop 404 — choosing adventure over screens.

First camp out with the girls this weekend. While they aren’t as fine tuned as the boys (yet), they did so well. They accomplished a ton this weekend for rank advancement and they also hiked to the look-out point at Guffey Butte. I can’t wait to see them grow and to turn into what they are meant to be.

It’s the small wins that keep you moving forward. And that is one of the traits that Troop 404 is known for.

Gray skies didn’t stop these girls today.

Our Troop 404G scouts hit the trail in the rain and hiked anyway — and not a single complaint the whole time. Just laughs, muddy boots avoided, and miles earned.

We’re an all-weather troop when it comes to hiking. As long as the trails are in good shape (not muddy), we go.

Today’s miles also count toward our Hike-A-Thon fundraiser…

48 miles left to go!

Proud of these girls for showing up and getting it done — rain and all.

Not when you’re with a scout!

This is how we do it.

This weekend, the third of our original three earned his Eagle.

And now? Their names go on the trailer.

Not because they’re finished — but because they built this. These three were the beginning of 404. They showed up when it was small. They helped shape the culture. They set the pace. And every single one of them crossed the finish line.

Three started it.
Three earned Eagle.

That’s the standard.

Now 404 has grown. We’ve added 404G. We’ve added more Scouts, more campfires, more leadership, more adventure. But it all traces back to boys who decided to commit and see it through.

This trailer carries our gear — and now it carries the names of the ones who proved what 404 is about.

And we’re just getting started.

There’s something about summer camp that just hits different. A full week of trying new things, stepping outside comfort zones, and building skills that actually stick. Archery is always a highlight — steady hands, focused eyes, and that proud little smile when the arrow flies true.

It’s more than just a fun activity. It’s confidence in action.

There’s just something about a campfire at the end of the day 🔥 The skits are a little goofy, the songs are a little loud, and someone always forgets a line… but that’s kind of the point. Campfire program isn’t just entertainment — it’s where confidence grows, friendships stick, and scouts realize they can stand up, speak up, and laugh at themselves. It’s simple. It’s tradition. And somehow, it’s where some of the best Scout memories are made
