On this International Women’s Day, let’s unite in honoring and celebrating the diverse experiences, struggles, and triumphs of women worldwide.

This is not a day to recognize the achievements of a select few but to honor the contributions of women of all races, backgrounds, and identities, including transgender women and non-binary individuals. As we commemorate this day, we’re reminded of the ongoing fight for gender equality and the importance of amplifying the voices of marginalized women.

While we reflect on the progress we have made, we must also acknowledge the work that still needs to be done. We must continue to address the intersecting oppressions faced by women of color, indigenous women, disabled women, LGBTQ+ women, and others.

Today and everyday serves as a call to action to dismantle the systemic barriers that have hindered the advancement of women worldwide. Let’s celebrate the resilience and strength of women who have paved the way for future generations and recognize the significance of allyship and solidarity in our collective journey towards equality.

We have made the difficult decision to discontinue as an active organization at this time. As we look toward a new year and the demands of continuing this work with our small team this is the best choice for us and for the communities we coalition with.

Our greatest hope is that our existence and our end will inspire and create space for new ideas, groups, and action that center the leadership, voices, ideas and needs of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and all minoritized communities.

We are proud of our work and the gift of the courage to start.

Advancing inclusion, racial equity, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy is not the work of any one person or organization and we are thankful to have been a small part of the efforts in Idaho and sometimes beyond.

Thank you to everyone who has shared our work, volunteered, donated, purchased merchandise, and championed our efforts in any way you could. Inclusive Idaho would have never been more than an idea without you. It is impossible to fully relay our gratitude in just a few words, but know that it is forever and immense.

Change starts with all of us.

It has been so wonderful to see folks show up for our LGBTQ+ community over the last few days, even in the face of hate, vitriol, and the incredibly harmful misinformation that has been spread. Attacking an already underserved community is not a show of strength, but one of cowardice.

Boise Pride Festival has worked tirelessly over the last year to create a safe, wonderful, and inclusive celebration that provides joy, fun, and visibility for everyone, including the most vulnerable among us; children. We applaud them for their mission, their hard work, and the strength and resolve they have shown over the last week.

We encourage those who think there is no way that young folks can possibly be a part of the LGBTQ+ community on their own accord to spend some time educating themselves on the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ kids in our community as well as nationwide.

This means that the constitution no longer protects the right to an abortion. It also marks the first time in history that the court has taken away a constitutional right.

The right to choose is fundamental to the freedom, health, and safety of those who bear children. This decision is what happens when the religious beliefs and the perceived morality of some are forced into the lives of everyone.

The right to choose is not simple and is not just about abortion. In 1973 Rowe v. Wade ushered in 50 years of fundamental healthcare rights.

Many states have placed into their restrictive abortion laws no hope, no exceptions, and no alternatives no matter the circumstance or threat to the child-bearer.

This decision will significantly impact people of color and those without the financial access to travel outside of restrictive states. It will have a devastating effect on the health and privacy of folks throughout the country.

Today is heavy in an immeasurable way. Our collective rage, sadness, and fear is justified and necessary.

Now more than ever, we must direct our anger into action.

Donate and support the organizations providing access to reproductive healthcare.

A big thanks to everyone who came out for our 2nd annual Ride For Pride with Boise Bicycle Project

Events like these are fun but even more importantly they educate, elevate, advocate, and provide visibility to a community that is still experiencing massive levels of discrimination here in Idaho as well as nationwide.

Juneteenth, recognizing the end of slavery, has been celebrated by Black Americans for over 150 years. While we are glad that it has finally been recognized as a federal holiday, we must continue to acknowledge that we are still in an ongoing fight to end racism and ensure true freedom for all. We are hopeful that those in our community will continue to take action and show up when and where they can.

Children in Uvalde, TX, were murdered today in their safe space while they were counting down the last few days until summer break, their parents now holding unimaginable pain and grief. Black grandmothers in Buffalo, NY, were murdered by a white supremacist while shopping for groceries in a familiar place they loved to frequent. Churchgoers were murdered in Laguna Woods, CA, while doing what so many of us hold dear, practicing their faith. Gay and Trans folks were murdered across the country for simply existing as their true and authentic selves. Unchecked gang violence in so many of our major cities. All of these horrific acts of gun violence have occurred in the last two weeks, along with the countless ones unnamed. WHEN WILL ENOUGH BE ENOUGH?

We thought it was going to be enough when 20 first graders had their lives and futures stolen at Sandy Hook. From Sandy Hook to now, nothing has been enough to move our nation to change its gun laws. WHEN WILL ENOUGH BE ENOUGH?

Grief, pain, fear, and devastation are the feelings that so many Americans hold right now while feeling helpless to effect change. We live in a nation where so many leaders in power refuse to give up their power to protect our children or anyone else from gun violence. As a community and a nation, we must organize, vote, and seize that power. Our lives depend on it, our kids' lives depend on it, and an America where everyone can prosper depends on it. We must come together and decide collectively that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
