Great time at the W-APPD Conference at Stanford University! 👏 The theme this year was “mitigating misinformation”, a timely topic. One of our outstanding residents Dr. Gracie Strubel, PGY2 presented their work, and we’re proud to have two of our faculty serving as board members of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD). Inspiring discussions, meaningful connections, and a fantastic few days advancing pediatric education together!

🎨 Paint and Snack Wellness Activity! 🎨

We nourished our creativity… and then absolutely annihilated a 28” pizza like the well-balanced healthcare professionals we are. Wellness comes in many forms. 🍕✨

Grateful for a program that prioritizes wellness, creativity, and a little mid-week reset. Because the best pediatricians take care of their tiny patients and themselves. 💛

Yesterday was our annual QI celebration! Each year our APD along with other QI experts teach a course on quality improvement to our interns, faculty and other FCH employees. At the end of the course, each member embarks on thier own personal QI project and then presents it to the PRI residents and faculty. We even had FCH Caldwell Resident, join this year! It was so much fun to see everyone's self improvement and QI work!

Here's a sneak peak into our most recent didactics including our simulation curriculum! Since we are a small program, we don't always get to rotate together but we do spend Wednesday afternoons together for protected half day didactics! We had a blast practicing codes and triaging!
