Happy 30th Anniversary to Trailing of the Sheep Festival !
One of our favorite weekends on our schedule, we got a taste of fall weather and had a blast dancing with all of you!
We also watched two Oinkaris become Alumni—it will be hard not to have Josie & Jake on the dance floor with us, but to have them cheering in our crowd will be one of our many blessings.

Today was our first practice back after break and we were so excited to see each other and to welcome 9 new friends as we got ready for next weekend!

Today is Euskal Diasporaren Eguna, Basque Diaspora Day!
Our ancestors had a million different reasons to leave Euskal Herria, but we are so lucky to have grown up in our culture with each other.

TIME FOR NEW FRIENDS—JOIN THE TEAM!
Remember, Oinkaris are welcoming new members on September 20 & 27 and October 4.
To join, come to the Basque Center at noon in athletic clothing.
All potential new members must be 14 years of age by September 1 or a freshman in high school.
Oinkaris only accept new members during this time period and new dancers must attend at least one (but preferably all three) of the practices. No prior Basque dance experience is necessary!
All Oinkaris must be members (or children of members, if under the age of 18) of Euzkaldunak.
