Dog Song Sanctuary

Directions

Dog Song Sanctuary Dog Song Sanctuary is a gathering
place where renewal and advocacy
meet.

Dog Song Sanctuary brings rural
and urban communities together
through conversation, creativity,
and advocacy to support animals
and the environment—along with
the communities they feed. Through retreats, classes, and
creative programs, we help people
connect with the land and one
another, sparking action toward
more humane and sustainable food
and agricultural systems. Located in rural Indiana, Dog
Song Sanctuary brings together
farmers, legislators, advocates, and
others for workshops, classes, and
conversation about agriculture
and the environment. It’s a place
to reconnect with nature, build
new relationships, and inspire
advocacy for more humane and
sustainable food systems.

Why Dog Song? The name comes from poet Mary Oliver’s Dog Songs—a celebration of the joy and companionship animals bring to our lives. It reflects our belief that tending land, animals, and each other isn’t just practical work. It’s what makes us human.
