The Bogata Rockies played their final game of the season last night, winning 11 - 4 over the Deport Rangers! The game was started with Karson Damron #30 on the mound for the Rockies who pitched two innings and allowed only two runs with four strike outs and went one for two with a double to left field, Atlee Roberts #8 started the third inning and went three up and three down with all strike outs and then was relieved half way through the forth by Tyler Harvey #12, Atlee had a great game at the plate with a lead off home run scoring three and then again in the third hitting a triple and scoring two more runs. In the forth inning Jairred Smith #9 had a pivotal stop in right field on hard hit ball to save a for sure home run and then hit a double to center field with a RBI to earn him the game ball for the night! What a way to end the season, I am grateful for the opportunity to coach this group of boys this season and have assistant coaches who also have winning attitudes help me through this process, I would also wish the Red River All Stars the best of luck as they continue into the regional tournament! This will be my final post on the Rockies Baseball Bogata page and will leave the page up for a short time to allow anyone who would like to save any photos to their page or computer a chance to do so. Thanks again to everyone who had a part in the Bogata Rockies great season!

Well Rockies fans, the Bogata Rockies play their last game of the season tonight in Bogata at 7:30 PM against the Deport Rangers! I hope to see everyone out to watch some baseball and support your Rockies!

I am really proud of our Rockies, as a coach, father, and fan, I could not have asked better group of boys, parents, and fans! The Bogata Rockies went into last nights game against the Detroit Eagles with a winning attitude and even though we lost the game 7 - 3, we finished the game with winning attitudes. The game was a defensive battle between two good teams with Tyler Harvey #12 on the mound for the Rockies allowed only three runs through three innings and the game was tied in the third with base hits by Damian Davidson #7 and Dylan Lovett #11 put two on with one out and Atlee Roberts #8 at the plate who hit a shot to left center field for a inside the park home run! The forth inning got away from us with some key hits by the Detroit Eagles scoring four runs and winning the game. After the game Detroit coach Jessie Paul Tucker told me that it was the best game of the year! The Rockies will finish the season with a district record of 6 wins and 3 losses putting them in second place, surely nothing to be ashamed of. The Rockies still have one non-district game left to play against the Deport Rangers next Tuesday night at 7:30 PM in Bogata, and then will have trophy presentation June 12th at 6:00 PM at the ball field in Bogata. So come on out for your Rockies last game of the season and support your team!

The Bogata Rockies season is coming close to the end with only two scheduled games left and I wanted to thank all of our sponsor's for their generous sponsorship! I also want to thank all the Rockies parents for being such a big part of our team this year and giving so much of your time to make sure that your son was at practices and games and also taking responsibility for the concession duties! I also want to thank Christie Ussery for doing our books and doing a great job at that, and last but not least I want to thank John Davidson and David Lovett for also volunteering their time to join me in coaching and teaching our boys to play this game with pride! I have truly enjoyed being a part of each and every one the boys growth and improvement through out this season and look forward to watching this group of boys continue to improve in the years to come! The Rockies play the undefeated Detroit Eagles tomorrow night at 7:30 PM in Detroit and the Rockies are going to do their best to spoil their perfect season, so come on out and support your Bogata Rockies and enjoy some good baseball!

The Bogata Rockies started kind of sluggish in tonight's game against the Blossom Cardinals giving up four runs in the first inning but then came on to win the game 10 to 4! The game ball went to Jimmy Trussell #22 for getting us started with our first hit of the game. The Rockies play again next Tuesday in Detroit so come on out and support your Bogata Rockies!

After loosing to the Deport Rangers last Tuesday night the Bogata Rockies came back with a vengeance in Mondays game winning 16 - 3! Vincent Ussery #10 started on the mound and pitched two innings and allowed no runs earning him the game ball for the night! Vincent was relieved by Rusty Boyd #6 to start the third inning and then Tyler Harvey closed out the forth inning. The Rockies stepped up and hit the ball a lot better and with good base running were able to rack up the runs! The Rockies play Friday night against the Blossom Cardinals in Bogata at 5:30 PM, So come out and watch some baseball!

The Rockies pulled out another one winning 7 - 3 over the Clarksville Cardinals! The Cardinals took an early lead in the first inning scoring three runs, but the Rockies answered by the second tying the score three to three, then in the third Dylan Lovett #11 gave us the lead with a well hit ball to deep left field which went to the fence for a in the park home run witch got us started and the Rockies scored four runs! Dylan Lovett went two for two tonight with a double and a home run earning him the game ball for the night! Way to go Dylan!!
