The Boerne Area Historic Preservation Society would like to acknowledge the enormous contribution to local historic preservation made by Bette Edmonds, who recently passed away.
Bettie Edmonds served as BAHPS president, and worked extensively with our historical archives. A talented artist, Bettie was well known for her pen and ink sketches of Kendall County historic buildings and homes. Thank you Bettie Edmonds!

MUSEUM OPEN FOR FREE THIS WEEKEND!

The Kuhlmann-King Historical Complex is open for free tours on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 12 pm to 3 pm, right here on the Historic Hill at 402 E Blanco Rd.

Built in 1885 by German immigrant William Kuhlmann for his new bride Marie, the home has been lovingly preserved and expanded into a small museum complex that also includes the relocated Henry Graham Building, once used as Kendall County’s tax assessor’s office and even the local telephone exchange.

Inside, you’ll find original artifacts, photos, and exhibits that share the rich, layered history of Boerne — from early settlers to local artists to community life in the 1900s.

Tours are free, family-friendly, and led by passionate volunteers from the Boerne Area Historical Preservation Society.
