VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The Alamo Chapter MICA is gearing up for another great community event, the infamous I Can’t Bexar Another Race 0.5K, and we need volunteers to help make it a success! Whether you can assist with registration, greet participants, direct the crowd, staff our halfway mark (the Rejuvenation Station-i.e. , Donut Distribution Specialists), hold humorous race signs (Professional Sign Wavers), or simply bring some enthusiasm to race day, we need you on the team. Your time and support help strengthen our mission to serve local Military Intelligence Soldiers, Veterans, and Families. Every helping hand makes a difference, so step up, get involved, and help us deliver an unforgettable event!
Plus you get all the swag with no effort!

I CAN’T BEXAR ANOTHER 5K…but we CAN handle a 0.5K.
Join us Saturday, October 31 for the most aggressively achievable athletic event in San Antonio:
0.5 kilometers
547 yards
700-ish steps
Participation medals for EVERYONE

B**r at the finish (arguably the real start)
Start: Burleson Yard B**r Garden
Finish: Alamo B**r (Oktoberfest!)

Hosted by L.O.S.T. (League of Outstanding Slackers in Texas) and benefiting the Alamo Chapter of the Military Intelligence Corps Association (MICA) - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Service Members, Veterans, and their Families.

Zero pressure. Maximum glory.

Finally, a race for my lifestyle.

San Antonio is known for its hills, but we found a flat part! Come out for the I Can’t Bexar Another Run 0.5k. We’re trading in the Gatorade for the Alamo B**r Company’s Oktoberfest’s b**r and the "runner's high" for a "post-race nap."

Proceeds benefit [Charity Name], so your laziness is actually helping a great cause!

• VIP Option: Pay an extra $10 and we’ll just give you the medal at the start line so you don't have to walk, and shuttle you to the Finish Line.

What’s your automatic response when someone thanks you for your service?

It was awkward at first. I think I may have thanked them back a few times. “You’re welcome” seemed inadequate since most were sincere.

Me first. “Thank you for being worth it. Now go do good things”.

Just wondering.

Join your fellow Slackers for a glorious day of triumph, self reflection, and a costume contest that absolutely no one asked for. Honestly, you can be done in fifteen to twenty minutes ("run" only), which is perfect for anyone who has a strict schedule of doing nothing.
