Earlier this month, we celebrated 65 years of Morningside Ministries with a wonderful event at The Cascades at Morningside at Menger Springs! ✨🎉

From delicious passed hors d’oeuvres and live bluegrass music to a festive atmosphere filled with laughter and celebration, it was a night to remember. Guests were even treated to ch*****ne served by a lovely young woman in a stunning ch*****ne skirt! 🥂✨

It was a special evening surrounded by residents, team members, and friends as we celebrated 65 years of serving older adults with compassion, dignity and respect.

We Remember September 11

Today, Morningside Ministries joins our nation in pausing to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who stepped forward in the face of tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we remember not only the heartbreak of that day, but also the strength, compassion, and unity that followed.

Many within our Morningside family remember exactly where they were that morning and the profound impact September 11 had on our country and our lives.

Today, we honor those we lost, those who served, and the families who carry their memories forward.

We will never forget.

As we celebrate 65 years of Morningside Ministries, we are grateful for the generations of dedicated people whose hard work, compassion, and commitment have helped us shape who we are today.

Today, we honor the incredible life and legacy of Dolly Parton (1946-2026)- a woman who touched many through her music, humor, kindness and generous spirit of giving.

Dolly gave us many examples of staying young at heart, treasuring friendships through the years, and to hold our heads up high looking for rainbows.

Dive into fun at Morningside at Menger Springs!

Today we are excited to celebrate the grand opening of our Wellness Center and Pool! Our residents have so many opportunities to stay active, spend time with friends, focus on wellness, and of course—make a splash!

With the new exercise equipment, state-of-the-art exercise rooms, and putting green there is much to be done and memories to be made.

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

“Being in charge of your own happiness means deciding that your joy doesn’t have to depend on your circumstances—or on someone else.”

One of life’s greatest lessons is realizing that happiness often begins with the choices we make each day. We can choose gratitude. We can choose to laugh. We can choose to spend time with people who lift us up. And sometimes, we can simply choose to make the best of the day we’ve been given. Our Resident Jane gives us great insight on how to come back to joy!!

Our residents remind us that a happy life isn’t necessarily a perfect life. It’s a life where we learn to appreciate the good, let go of what we cannot control, and find reasons to smile along the way.

Today’s Words of Wisdom: Be in charge of your own happiness. Choose joy whenever you can.
