Thanks to our funding sponsors - SOS Dog Rescue - Strength of Shadow, Kern County Animal Services & Miranda Lambert's MuttNation - 1️⃣1️⃣7️⃣ dogs and cats were spayed and neutered today aboard SNIP Bus-Spay Neuter Imperative Project! Today was definitely a full day of collaboration by Kern SAFE and other amazing folks in the community!
Thank you to Dr Flynn, Dr Darrow (today’s spay queen 👑), Kandice and both medical teams who didn’t let a slow start and 95 degree weather slow them down! To watch these teams at work is truly magical!
Thank you to Church of Christ Oildale for providing a wonderful location for us to bring these much needed services to the community!
Thank you to Church Without Walls 114 Beardsley and City of Bakersfield Animal Control for the assist today when we were short on pets and needed help with transport to ensure every surgical spot was utilized!
Thank you to Queen B Lashes and Waxing for coming in clutch with lunch and treats for the clinic staff and volunteers, including the best donut I have ever consumed!

Thank you to Dr Flynn, Dr Darrow, Dr Miller, Kandice and the entire medical team! Thank you to our friends from Animal Action League for hanging out to see how we do things in Kern County! See you all next week 🎉

**Huck:** “Excellent. Phase One is complete.”
**Finn:** “Did you distract him?”
**Huck:** “Yep. I stared into the distance like I saw a ghost.”
**Finn:** “Classic move. While he investigated, I stole the squeaky taco.”

**Huck:** “Outstanding teamwork. What’s next?”
**Finn:** “We act innocent.”

🌮 Taco destroyed
🛏️ Dog beds flipped
🐾 Dirt everywhere
😇 Zero suspects identified

Thanks to SOS Dog Rescue - Strength of Shadow, Almost Eden Rescue and a special private donor 4️⃣7️⃣ dogs and cats were spayed and neutered today aboard SNIP Bus-Spay Neuter Imperative Project by the incredible Dr Darrow and her stellar team - Kandice, Ebony, Maddie, Alex, Vanessa, Josh, Erika & Kristen! Thank you to Teya Services for providing the excellent location for us to set up and bring these services to the community of Ridgecrest!

Thank you to Dr Flynn, Dr Darrow, Dr Miller, Kandice and both medical teams who provide extraordinary care for each and every pet. Thank you to Officer Manning for transporting some of our most vulnerable clients to and from their appointments. Ser you all Friday in Ridgecrest!

Update 5/20pm: we will be picking up Patty from the ER in a couple of hours. We have raised a total of $808

Update 5/19am: Patty did well overnight at the ER. No more blood coming from places that it shouldn’t. She is eating a specialized hydrolyzed diet and is about to come off of IV fluids. An ultrasound showed her intestines are pretty inflamed still. It will take a few weeks on the new diet to ensure that we don’t need to search for more answers but her prognosis is very good. Our main road is still closed due to the wildfire so she will stay down there to be monitored for one more day/night and as long as all goes well we will pick her up after spay & neuter clinic tomorrow. We have currently raised $706 from various posts and Venmo. The estimate still stands somewhere between $1100-$1400.

Update: Patty has Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis but they’re not sure why yet so she is staying at the ER for at least a couple of days. The current estimate is $1100-$1400 and so far we have raised $603 from the original post and subsequent video. Please help us help Patty!

Patty just started pooping blood. We are headed to VCA Bakersfield ER. Did I mention the canyon is closed for a wildfire? 😭 One way or another we will get her there. Send some positive vibes our way and we will keep you all posted! Trust me you didn’t want to see these pictures 😳
