“The Annual Meeting of the Union Cemetery Perpetual Care Association originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2020 will be postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions and recommendations. The Annual Meeting will be rescheduled once restrictions are lifted.

The annual meeting of the Union Cemetery Perpetual Care Association will be held Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 7:00PM in the Union Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. If you have family members buried at Union Cemetery or have burial plots reserved there, you are a member of UCPCA and are encouraged to attend the annual meeting.
The Board of Directors will be presenting a report of its activities for the 2019/2020 year, a financial statement of the associational will be presented, and the 2020/2021 Board of Directors will be elected.
Contributions for the care and upkeep of Union Cemetery can be given to the secretary/treasurer at the meeting. Contributions can also be sent to UCPCA, c/o Teresa Porter, 911 Par Circle, Hope, Ar. 71801 or Union Cemetery, c/o Union Baptist Church, c/o Union Baptist Church, 1925 Hwy 53, Rosston, Ar. 71858 if you are unable to attend.

Beginning March 2nd through November 14, 2020, Union Cemetery mowing season decoration restrictions will be enforced.
During this time period:
1) Potted plants, wreaths, artificial flowers, and decorative ornaments may not be placed on gravesites.
2) Saddle wreaths and vases which are permanently attached to the monuments are permitted.
3) Permitted decorations should be labeled in a weather-proof manner with the name of the gravesites so that they may be returned to the gravesite in the event they are weather displaced.
4) Un-identified weather-displaced decorations will be placed on a perimeter fence for a period of two weeks for owners to claim. If unclaimed after the two week period, the decorations will be discarded.

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethleham of Judaea in the days of Harod the King, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, … And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts: gold, and frankincense and myrrh." Matthew 2:1,11.

During this time of year we celebrate the birth of Jesus, exchange gifts with our friends and loved ones, and reflect on the memories of Christmas seasons past and the joy we shared with those who are no longer with us.
