REBOOT AMERICA MUSICALLY

Introduces a proven methodology to the nation via a White House performance of a unique free after school program to the more than 15 million school-age children (26% of the student population) who are on their own without supervision after school. Teaches American History along with pride, patriotism and sacrifice for love of country. Preserves an American Art Form and w

hat Congress declared in 1985 as a rare and national treasure, Jazz and the Great American Song Book. Creates employment (green jobs) for tens of thousands of musicians and supporting staff nationally that will stimulate the economy in approximately 100,000 public schools. The “Reboot America Musically” methodology honors, entertains and benefits our U.S. Veterans thanking them for their service educating young and old alike by providing a patriotic “History Concert” full of facts and fun trivia via an entertaining and unique presentation designed to develop new audiences creating employment for our talented future generations. A profitable venture that properly promoted will generate interest developing listening audiences for talented future generations. The community and entire industry benefits and history is made by preserving it.

One of my favorite singers Jack Jones. This photo was taken at the home of Stuffy Hoffman, Buddy Rich's cardiologist. Stuffy played drums and invited me to his home to have lunch with him and Jack and Ellis Tollin the father of the Roger's Dyna-Sonic snare drum and life long friend of Buddy. He showed Jack a video of one of my concerts, he wanted Jack to hear and see me. I also played drums on Stuffy's yacht two years in a row at the Miami Boat Parade. R.I.P. Jack. Saw him in concert with Buddy Rich with my father. Fine singer.

Thirty years ago and after twelve years of forming my Big Band I made this at the request of many to create an instructional video. Drummers heard and watched my Big Band videos I had distributed and asked if I taught or had a book or video. I created this video because I was asked to, not because I thought the drumming community needed my voice ( like today's YouTube experts). It's helped numerous others, many of whom have shared it with others without giving me any credit for it. So be it.

SURVIVED WITH A NEW RECORD. A nine hour hospital visit discovered three 90% artery blockages requiring three new stents. I have a new record now of twelve total. The catheterization was painful due to the number of times my groin has been entered with a tube. Scar tissue has formed and is a bitch. It wasn't a pleasant experience but I'm no stranger to pain after five heart attacks, torn rotator cuff and knee and elbow surgeries. I sincerely want to thank everyone who sent me their well wishes. I didn't think anyone really cares about me. I'm still having breathing issues as a result of the pulmonary embolisms in both of my lungs that developed after I had COVID-19. I'm doing the best I can with some fine doctors. I feel blessed having so many of you in my life, (especially those of you who I have never met personally). I wish you all good health and happiness. All my very best to you. DC
