Good morning Owls, This is a reminder that tomorrow a 2pm we will host our annual picnic for everyone at TY Park in Hollywood. I hope you all join us for some fun in the sun. Please feel free to bring a guest and join us for for good time. Looking forward to seeing you all there. If you have a tailgate chair, please bring it along. We will be by the Lake on the right side of the park when you come in. We will have plenty of FAU spirit up so that you can see us from far.

Owls, If you have not heard, there is a job opportunity at the Broward County Budget and management analysis office. The salaries there begin at $54,000 and the position they are looking to fill is as a budget analyst. If you are interested here is the link to the position and information.

Hello Owls, FAU has a great networking opportunity coming up Saturday April 16th, below are the details and the link for you to receive our ticket. If you can attend you should take advantage, I have been to lead conferences and they are worth your time.

The WeLead: Diversity Matters Leadership Symposium will be held on April 16, 2016 from 8:30 - 1 p.m. in the College of Business on the Boca Raton Campus. This one-day experience is designed to broaden your culture competence and leadership knowledge. The symposium is open and free to FAU students (non-FAU students incur a small registration fee and register at a different link) and includes keynote speakers, several breakout sessions and opportunities to interact with college students from FL schools, faculty & staff.
The Symposium will conclude with a networking reception hosted at the FAU stadium from 1pm - 3pm. Participants will have an opportunity to network with professional staff from a variety of areas while supporting the FAU Owls at their annual spring football game.
We encourage you all to show FAU school spirit in whatever way you choose: casual attire is more than appropriate for this event just please no short shorts/skirts or sweat pants/cut-offs. The subtle and sophisticated side is also welcomed (wearing our school colors in a button down shirt, polo, or a small university/logo pin works, too).

This March we will celebrate Women in Public Service. As a result the Davie Campus will host an event honoring some women in public service and will have special guest speakers. Come network and celebrate Public service as you network Thursday March 24th, from 6-8 pm.

Dear students, If you are in the Broward area, the Davie campus is hosting a Thesis and Dissertation tips event on Monday Feb 23rd at 12:30 PM. It will be held at the Student Union in Room 217. Some of you are planning to continue your education and I think this is a great opportunity for you to get the basics and some extra tips before you go on to research.

Attention MPA students:

The Office of Student Financial Aid office is seeking an MPA student who recently started the program hopefully with at least a year left in the program to serve as a Graduate Assistant working with Federal Work Study students, FAU departments and area employers. The position provides tuition assistance and hourly pay. This is a great opportunity to learn and work with HR regulations and Federal Financial Aid regulations. We're looking to hire as soon as possible as there is much to learn.

Dear Students, It is that time of year again! The time of year where we celebrate the end to another great school year here at the MPA program and send out graduating students. We would also like to invite all new students to the program, who may have started this Spring. Welcome, this is a great time to mingle with students faculty and alumni are also very welcome to join.
It till be held at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach.
