At Gift of Life we believe every person battling blood cancer deserves a second chance at life and we are determined to make it happen. We are singularly passionate about engaging the public to help us get everyone involved in curing blood cancer, whether as a donor, a volunteer or a financial supporter. It all begins with one remarkable person, one life-changing swab and one huge win finding a match and a cure.

A life-changing moment in the heart of the Big Apple! 🧡

Yesterday, leukemia survivor Mollie Bernstein Kallen met her lifesaving stem cell donor, Eli, for the very first time in New York City’s Times Square!

Eli joined Gift of Life’s registry at a college campus drive in New York in 2022. Just one year later, he received the call that he was a match for Mollie and traveled to our Boca Raton headquarters to donate his stem cells.

A former Gift of Life Campus Ambassador, Eli has since graduated from medical school at Touro University.

“He’s an amazing person,” said Mollie. “I am so blessed.”

From a college campus to a lifesaving donation to an unforgettable reunion in Times Square, what an incredible journey! Thank you, Eli, for giving Mollie a second chance at life.

Meet Swell Ariel Or, our emcee for One Huge Night Los Angeles! 🧡

Known for her breakout role in Netflix’s “The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem,” the Israeli actress, writer and singer uses storytelling to connect people through experiences of courage, resilience and hope.

A survivor of a terrorist attack at age 16 and a passionate advocate for Israel and the Jewish people, Swell brings a personal understanding of how community support can change lives. That connection makes her a meaningful voice for an evening dedicated to Gift of Life’s mission: helping patients find lifesaving donors and a second chance at life.

Rafi joined the Gift of Life Marrow Registry with a simple cheek swab at a Cornell University Hillel Shabbat dinner in 2019. Two years later, he learned he was the match for a patient battling non-Hodgkin lymphoma and donated his stem cells to help save their life. 🧡

During , we celebrate donors like Rafi and highlight the need for greater Hispanic representation on the registry. Each new member can increase the possibility that another patient will find the match they urgently need.
