Magnolia Middle School has a rising National Best Selling Author! 💫

Her name is Alannah Brazzle, and she is a two time author! She is currently #1 in the category of 9-18 age group, and she is ONLY in the 7th grade!

Her latest book, *Everyone Has a Superpower Except Me*, is now available on Amazon. The story follows a girl who feels left out for lacking superpowers but eventually discovers she possesses the greatest power of all.

Alannah draws inspiration from her mother, Gabrielle King, who is also an author. The community aims to celebrate their shared talent and creativity.

Dr. Wencie Powell is an inspirational leader, legacy builder, and community advocate whose influence extends from corporate spaces into the heart of communities. A proud native of Moss Point, Mississippi, she is known for her servant leadership, social impact, and commitment to creating positive change that uplifts people, organizations, and communities. She is a proud alumna of Jackson State University and also holds a Financial Markets Certificate from Yale University.

As the CEO and founder of The PowellR of Love, Inc., Dr. Powell has devoted herself to fostering inclusivity, strengthening communities, and serving as a catalyst for meaningful impact. Her passion for service and excellence earned her an honorary doctorate in Humanities. She is also a passionate advocate for youth mentorship and women’s empowerment, serving on the Executive Boards of Destiny’s Elite Girls, Inc. and the Broward Sickle Cell Association, while also serving as President of the BPAQ within the Moss Point Alumni Association School District and as a Community Ambassador for We Are Moss Point, Inc.

Her outstanding leadership has earned her numerous honors, including the Biden Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, Top 25 Most Influential Women in Business, Florida Woman of Impact, Sister Leaders Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leader Award, International Success Women’s Conference Top Influencer, and Business Empowered Mississippi Key to the Community Honoree. She was also named one of the Top Inspiring Women of 2025 and BOSS2BOSS Magazine’s Woman of the Year 2025.

Now resides in Atlanta, she continues to give back, serving on the 228 Juneteenth Committee and the CTE Advisory Board at her alma mater. A registered nurse of 21 years, she is making history as the second Black President of the Georgia Nurses Association.
