Today marks the beginning of Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, honor those we've lost, and support those still fighting.

We remember Bill, a husband, son, brother, chihuahua dad, friend, and someone who left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His strength, resilience, and the way he showed up for others will never be forgotten.

For American men, esophageal cancer is the fastest increasing cancer diagnosis. Early detection can make a difference, and awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have.

In Bill’s memory, let’s take a moment this month to learn the signs, support research, and check in on the people we love.

At the end of 2025, Bill launched his new series - Why My Cancer Will Save Lives. But this series wasn’t about his story. It was about what became painfully clear the moment he became a patient.

"𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.
I was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer in October 2024.
Yes, this is personal.
But this series isn’t about my story.
It’s about what became painfully clear the moment I became a patient.

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱.
Trials struggle to enroll while people search for options.
Life-saving innovation sits in pipelines, decks, and internal conversations - moving slower than disease ever will.
