Here are several South Carolina 4-H Horse Updates, please read all the way through!
• Thank you to the South Carolina 4-H Equine Committee for their behind the scenes work 2023 South Carolina 4-H State Horse Show. Please provide the survey to those youth/families that attended the South Carolina 4-H State Horse Show to provide constructive feedback: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfK9GCmwqCVyG0TiowKsnEww9rPqsoo7lYey7RirF1BBPC6kw/viewform. The Equine Committee will review responses and move forward with planning of this year’s State Horse Show. Please encourage feedback to be complete by close of business on Monday, April 17.
• South Carolina 4-H Horse Reasons Clinic, scheduled for Thursday, April 13 at Anderson County Extension Office. If you are interested in attending this event, please email me: [email protected] by 3 pm on April 12. Our guest, Mr. McGlohon is excited to meet with interested adults on how to encourage your Horse Evaluation participants to successfully navigate reasons. His resources and lessons are much better delivered face to face, so he prefers to try and meet versus doing an online training.
• State 4-H Hippology Contest, scheduled for April 22 at Poole University-Poole Agriculture Center. This team and individual registration site close on April 14. https://SC4Hhippology2023.eventbrite.com
• State 4-H Horse Quiz Bowl Contest, scheduled for April 22 at Poole University-Poole Agriculture Center. Teams may be registered through the following site: https://SC4Hhorsequizbowl2023.eventbrite.com. If you do not have a complete team but have youth that would like to be paired up with other individuals to create teams, they may register through a separate link: https://SC4Hhorsebowlindividuals2023.eventbrite.com. We will do our best to create teams and add youth to existing teams within the same age division. If we are not able to add individuals or create a complete team, we will refund the individual registration fees. Team and individuals may be registered through Eventbrite by Friday, April 14.
