Soroptimist International of Blythe, CA SI of Blythe is the local club. The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women," and that's what the organization strives to achieve.

Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education & training they need to achieve economic empowerment, as this is the most effective path to self-determination. Approximately 72,000 Soroptimists in over 120 countries and territories support community-based and global projects benefiting women and girls. Soroptimists are women at their best,

working to help other women to be their best. Soroptimist International of the Americas, headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, USA, is one of five federations comprising Soroptimist International (SI), which is headquartered in Cambridge, England. The other four federations affiliated with SI are: Soroptimist International of Great Britain and Ireland, headquartered in Cheshire, England; Soroptimist International of Europe, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland; Soroptimist International of the South West Pacific, headquartered in Sydney, Australia; and Soroptimist International Africa Federation . The Golden West Region of Soroptimist International of the Americas provides administrative support to clubs within its territorial limits, which include San Bernardino and Riverside Counties of California, the State of Arizona (except Yuma County), the State of New Mexico, and El Paso County in Texas. The Golden West Region has 38 clubs and nearly 1,000 members who work to improve the lives of women and girls.
