April is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the invaluable contributions of volunteers. As part of Volunteer Month, Senior Greetings joined forces with Harvard Business Publishing. Employees participated in creating handmade greeting cards for July 4th. A total of forty-four employees contributed their time and creativity, resulting in an impressive 192 greeting cards.

The event fostered a spirit of teamwork and joy, with participants enjoying cookies together as they worked.

A special shout out goes to the calligrapher who crafted beautiful messages for the cards, adding a personal and artistic touch. Thanks to everyone involved, Senior Greetings was able to spread cheer, one card at a time.

Today marks Volunteer Recognition Day, and Senior Greetings would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated individuals who have contributed to our mission. In our first year as a non-profit, 625 volunteers handcrafted a remarkable total of 6,469 cards. Each card was thoughtfully created and delivered to 42 senior communities across Massachusetts (MA) and South Carolina (SC). The beauty and care in every card brought joy and connection to residents in these communities.
We appreciate our volunteers’ achievements in the first year and thank everyone who contributed to this success.

We successfully distributed 1,464 Easter Cards to 18 senior communities in Massachusetts. This initiative would not have been possible without the dedication of 200 volunteers, who thoughtfully crafted each card. Their creativity and heartfelt messages are sure to bring joy and smiles to the recipients.

Thank you to our new volunteers (Kelly, Bob and Rick) for these amazing Easter cards.

Also, we still have spots available for next week's card-making event at the Hanson Public Library @ 6:00 PM on March 10th. Community members who reside in the area and wish to participate are encouraged to register for this free event. No experience needed and all necessary supplies will be provided. The Easter cards made at this event will be distributed to local area senior assisted living communities.

Open to adults, teens, and children ages 10+. Perfect for students who need service hours for National Honor Society, Confirmation, and other community service requirements.

In between shoveling and raking the roof, I started on my Easter Cards. Hopefully we can venture out tomorrow. Thanks Karen and Ariana for your inspiration!

We are happy to share that volunteers are actively making Easter cards for Senior Greetings. The goal is to create and deliver 750 handmade cards to senior communities across Massachusetts. Supplies have been packed and distributed to our at-home volunteers and we have several community-based events have been scheduled to facilitate this effort, including gatherings at Harvard Business Publishing, Ameriprise at Debry Street, Bishop Feehan High School and the Norwell Council on Aging.

A public card-making event will take place at the Hanson Public Library @ 6:00 PM on March 10th. Community members who reside in the area and wish to participate are encouraged to register for this free event. The cards made at this event will be distributed to the All American in Hanson. The activity is open to individuals ages 10 and older, and all necessary supplies will be provided. This is a perfect opportunity to earn some service hours.

What an amazing job for Valentine's Day. Our goal was 750 cards and we made and delivered 1300. Thank you to all the great volunteers for making this happen. We couldn't do it without you!🥰
