The Evolution Big Band (Evolution) will be performing a benefit presented by the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes (LFWMH) to raise funds for the charities they support.
This concert will be held at Hampton Hall and it is open to the public. If you’re familiar with Evolution, they are super excited about this concert because it’s quite different from what you may expect. Here’s why;
• It's called "A Warrior's Journey.” It's a musical tribute to our military, to those who have served and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
• It’s more than a concert – it includes a narrated story that will guide the audience through a young adult's journey from not knowing what he wants to do in life, to his decision to join the military, onto the battlefield, and back home.
• This concert will span multiple genres -- big band, patriotic, movie themes, music theater, and some popular songs from other genres as well. A selection of songs you’re sure to know include: "I Want to Go Home" by Michael Bublé, "Gonna Fly Now" (the theme from the Rocky film), and "One Moment in Time" by Whitney Houston, among others.
• Six (6) of the seventeen (17) songs will be accompanied by vocalists. Three (3) each from two (2) amazing singers.
You can purchase tickets (or make a donation) through the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry by clicking this link...

We know the $100 ticket/donation is a little steeper than Evolution normally charges but it does include heavy hors d'oeuvres … so there's no need to make dinner plans before the concert. And, it’s tax deductible.
• Doors open at 6:15 pm
• Refreshments 6:15 – 7:00pm
• Program begins at 7:00pm
When it's over, we’re confident you'll think you got your money's worth.
For those of you not familiar with the LFWMH, here is some additional background on the Foundation you will be supporting.
• Founded in 2010 in Bluffton.
• To date, they have donated $2.7 million to the charities they support.
• Their donations assist post 9/11 combat wounded (Purple Heart recipients), those suffering from other physical or psychological wounds like PTSD and traumatic brain injury, generous scholarships for children of Special Operators who have died in combat, and more.
