The wild fires were 100 to 150 miles from Allendale earlier this morning when I checked. I don't know if Alexa was up-to-date on that info or not. However, they are now only 50 to 70 miles from Allendale. According to alexa, if it continues to burn as it is now, the fires could reach us in a case days to a week.

I used to have the means to evacuate Rogue Rescue dogs, now I don't. I sure hope i can get help if need be. I need to start making a plan, just in case. You never know in this crazy world we are experiencing now.

Our sweet Ole man, Bob passed away last night. I usually write these long eulogies but I just don't have it in me to do that now. Bob was loved and his personality was so funny! I'll miss his side eyed looks he gave when he didn't like something you did. I'll love you for ever Bobbity Bob. My good boy, run free sweet baby boy. I'll see you when I get there. Love Mommy.

UPDATE. Snow White passed over The Bridge just a little while ago. She perked up enough to let me know she appreciated me. I left her side for no more than 3 minutes while Shea Kinard continued to share the love. Just as I stepped in the door, Shea said she put her head back and that was it. I confirmed that the sweet girl who was only 11 months old and was imprenated by a bigger goat was gone. A huge thank you to those who donated. The vet bill was $250. ❤️

Rogue is helping a goat that was trying to deliver a breach baby. The babe had to be delivered by C-section. Baby was still born. Mom is not doing well. Please say a prayer or 2. The baby has been dead so long that it had already started decaying. The mom had a hole in her uterus that had to be fixed plus she has a raging infection. We haven't asked for donations in a long time but I'm asking now. If anyone can afford to donate towards this baby's care, it would be greatly appreciated and needed. You might be the only person who sees what is really happening behind that fence, chain, or backyard.

Taking action shows that in your community, neglect and abuse are not “normal” or acceptable.

Simple steps to take
Write down what you witness: dates, times, descriptions of the dog’s condition, and how often the situation occurs.

If laws in your area allow it and it is safe, capture photos or videos as evidence.

Reach out to local animal control, a humane society/SPCA, or a rescue organization and share everything you have documented.

Compassion in action
You do not have to rescue every mistreated dog in the world, but you can change the world for the one you report. Every call made for an abused animal is a powerful message that they deserve warmth, protection, and a home filled with kindness, not chains.
