Please mail or drop off your notes at the WSAV Lowcoutry Bureau at 98 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. Good Evening Friends and Family, As most of you know, I was a student and Resident Advisor at Virginia Tech during the events of April 16, 2007. While listening to the news of yesterday's events at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT, I couldn't help but feel their horrific loss. I know
that the road they will travel for the rest of their lives, and especially the next few months, will not be easy. Regaining the trust of the public after an event like this is extremely difficult. When I look back at the time after April 16th, one of the things I remember most vividly were kind notes that people all around the country sent to me and my peers to get us through our time of need. It doesn't take much, just a "I am thinking about you and your friends during this time of strife," "I will keep you and your family in my prayers," or a simple "Thank you" to the first responders who have had their sleepy town disrupted by this unimaginable chaos. While it seems small, it will make a difference. I am asking each of you to like this page, and invite your friends to join you in writing "a little note" to someone in Newtown, CT. All it takes is a note card and some time. If you have children, have them draw a picture as there are so many children affected by this tragedy as well. I will be collecting notes until the time that i leave for Texas at the end of the week, and will continue until the new year. Please message me or write on the wall of the group if you have further questions. Let's try to make a positive difference. Lee
