Some children walk miles just to collect water—filling whatever containers they can carry, then making the long journey back home.

It’s easy to forget how much of a privilege it is to simply turn on a faucet and see clean water flow.

This is one of the reasons we love our LIV LAKOU location—it sits right at the top of a hill that so many pass through on their way down to fetch water.

🎒 An update from the Education Passport Program

We wish you could see what we're seeing right now.

Books are stacked and ready to go. Somewhere, a seamstress is bent over a sewing machine, stitching together uniforms these kids will wear with pride. And this week, tuition payments are being delivered to school offices.

12 students. 12 kids who, because of you, know exactly where they're going next year, into a classroom, with a desk and a future waiting for them.

We're so close to the finish line. There's just one student whose tuition still needs $400 to be fully covered for this installment, and we don't want them to be the one left waiting.

We’re Building Something Special and We Need Your Help! ☀️

At Fleri Cheri, our community is our heartbeat. Programs like our beloved Gran Gathering and our Bloom Groups are changing lives right here at our Central Ministry location and we want to do even MORE.

We’re about to start raising funds to build a Pavilion that will give our community programs a dedicated home, a place to gather, grow, and thrive together.

All of the mothers in our Education Passport Program are widowed or single. Even in the best circumstances, many families who are fortunate enough to have a steady income live on about $4 a day. With tuition averaging $275 per student, saving for school could mean choosing between food on the table or your child's education.

While we will be growing our library collection over the next few months now that we have officially launched LIV LAKOU, we are so thankful for each Fleri Friends who bought these books off of our Amazon wishlist so kids could read in their native language!

We are planning to purchase some easy to read books in English this summer. We will be translating them to Haitian Creole so kids can enjoy all of the same classic stories we all loved as children!

If you have gently used books like If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, Dr Seuss, Goodnight Moon, Eric Carle books and would like to ship them to Florida so they can arrive in Haiti in a month email us so we can give you the address!

Happy August ☀️☀️

Angelica is headed to South Carolina and Michigan this month, speaking at churches and meeting with friends and new connections along the way. The heart of these trips is simple: sharing what God is doing through Fleri Cheri and beginning to raise support for what’s next.

We’re so expectant for this season and can’t wait to share more soon. Please be praying for safe travels and that the Lord would place mission-minded people in her path, open doors, meaningful conversations, and divine connections all along the way.

So grateful for every Fleri friend walking with us in this journey.
