In many rural communities in Haiti, a woman’s monthly cycle can become a monthly burden.
When pads are too expensive or unavailable nearby, women and girls are often left using old rags just to make it through the day. Some walk miles to markets hoping supplies are available. Others simply go without.
What should be a normal part of life too often becomes connected to shame, discomfort, and health risks.
This Menstrual Hygiene Day, Fleri Cheri is working to change that by partnering with .
This fall, our goal is to provide 200 women and girls in Haiti with reusable period pad kits and women’s health education. Each kit includes reusable absorbent liners, waterproof shields, underwear, soap, washcloths, storage bags, and care instructions — giving women and girls a safe, sustainable option they can use for years.
But what makes this program even more special is that the kits are handmade by a Haitian woman just a few towns away — creating income and opportunity for her family while helping serve other women in her country. 🇭🇹
Right now, we are raising funds to place our very first order and officially launch the program.
A simple period kit may not seem life-changing to some, but for many women and girls, it means dignity, confidence, and relief.
If you would like to help us bring this program to life, we would be so grateful for your support. 💛
