🚔 A Bluff City man is facing charges after police discovered multiple loaded fi****ms and suspected ma*****na during an investigation Thursday.

According to the Bluff City Police Department, officers were conducting an investigation at a residence on Woodland Drive when they observed a firearm in plain view inside the home. Investigators were aware of prior felony convictions involving residents of the home and consulted with the Office of the District Attorney General.

A search of the residence led to the discovery of three fi****ms, all equipped with loaded magazines. Police said one firearm found inside a gun safe was loaded with a round chambered. Officers also located a quantity of suspected ma*****na and drug paraphernalia inside the safe.

Following the investigation, Christopher Dempsey was arrested and transported to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

The Bluff City Police Department thanked the Office of the District Attorney General for its assistance in the case.

I would like to address the recent concerns and misinformation being shared regarding parking at the Jr Patriots Baseball/Softball Fields and our communication with the Town of Bluff City.

As an organization, we have been actively working with the town to resolve the growing parking issues at the fields. This has become a larger concern this season due to the continued growth of our organization.

The town and the town family committee has worked with us tirelessly to come up with a plan to fix this issue. They want us to be a part of the community. I hate that there has been bad publicity put out towards them.

To address the issue of payment. There was never any request to pay anyone under the table. All money payed was properly paid and documented.

We have worked together to develop a parking map to help parents and families better understand where parking is available. We will also be encouraging carpooling from nearby lots to help ease congestion and improve safety for everyone during the remainder of the season.

The Town of Bluff City never issued Jr Patriots an ultimatum. They never told us we were not welcome back.

There are no hard feelings toward the Town of Bluff City. We appreciate their willingness to help us work through these issues and support our growing program.
