It’s usually dogs, the occasional cat, but even baby birds need a little help sometimes.

I caught Doc Holiday April 2nd. His brother, Huckleberry Finn, ran from me. I hadn’t seen him since. But a local farmer trapped him this evening eating his cow feed/corn and got in touch with me 🙏🏼🩵. Now the brothers are reunited.

This is what my days off from the mail route look like…..
Loading traps and heading back up the mountain.
It’s not fast work… but it’s the kind that matters.
And they’re worth it. 🩵

This is Kayuh.
She’s got those blue eyes… and a personality to match.
She has an opinion about everything—and most of the time, she’s right.
She came from a situation where she just wasn’t getting the attention and exercise a dog like her needs.
And if you’ve ever been around this breed… you know that matters.
She’s high energy. Strong-willed.
And yeah… she’s got a bit of an attitude.
But honestly—that’s exactly why I took her in.
At the time, Indie needed someone who wouldn’t be intimidated.
Someone who could match him… and keep him in check.
Kayuh doesn’t back down. Not from him, not from anything.
