Prayer 🙏🏾

It is our desire to teach our children the importance of prayer, for the Bible says to “rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

MISSION TRIP HIGHLIGHT ✨💙

For this summer’s final mission trip, a small team from Johnson City, TN came to show Christ’s love to our students, staff, and the community.

At Kids to Christ School, they taught Bible lessons, did crafts, and played fun games with the children. They also helped the school staff prepare for the upcoming school year by painting, preparing classrooms, and organizing donations of school supplies, clothing, and hygiene materials.

In addition, they spent an afternoon in Duquesa sharing the gospel with members of the community, praying over them, and spending time playing with the children.

This trip was an encouraging time for everyone involved, and we thank the Lord for His goodness constantly on display.

MISSION TRIP HIGHLIGHT ✨💙

In July, Kids to Christ School received two missionaries, Emily Hyler and Luci Perez, to lead professional development workshops with our teachers and staff. With expertise in education and psychology, these women shared helpful information about trauma-informed care, classroom management, and more! Our staff is ready to serve new and returning students this upcoming school year!

VENEZUELA UPDATE 🇻🇪

Since the devastating twin earthquakes in Venezuela last month, Kids to Christ has been working to provide relief and support to those affected.

In partnership with , and the local churches that we work with on a regular basis, donations and humanitarian aid teams have been sent to Caracas, Venezuela to distribute food, supplies, and emotional support stuffed animals to children who have lost everything.

The need in Venezuela is great, but God is greater! We pray that his light shines in the midst of darkness.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.” (Psalm 46:1-2)

Please continue to keep these families in your prayers. If you would like to be a part of continued relief efforts, we are still accepting donations and sending aid to the country. Donations can be made at www.kidstochrist.org.

MISSION TRIP HIGHLIGHT ✨💙

This summer, Redemption Life Church from Knoxville, Tennessee sent a team to the Dominican Republic to host a Worship and Arts Camp with students from Kids to Christ School and teenagers from the Duquesa trash dump.

The theme … Teaching young people how to be men of VALOR and women of VIRTUE.

Through art, dance, music, teaching, and more, these children and teens learned about all the creative ways they can worship our Creator.

Thank you to each missionary, translator, staff, and volunteer that spent this week serving the Kingdom of God.

Please join us in prayer for the families and children affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela.

We are partnering with local churches to provide meals, medical supplies, essentials and hygiene supplies, stuffed animals and emergency supplies beginning this week. If you would like to help, you can donate online at kidstochrist.org.

Also, a shipment will be sent to Venezuela on July 13. If you would like to bring physical items on the donations list to our office, we will be accepting donations at the Impact Community Center at 337 Carter Street, Bluff City, TN 37618. Or, contact Jaime Johnson at [email protected].
