The Elks Mobile Dental Program is coming to Blue Springs this June to provide FREE dental care services for veterans in need across Missouri β€” with no out-of-pocket cost.

Veterans deserve access to quality care, and programs like this help ensure that those who served our nation are not left behind in their health and well-being.

πŸ“ Location: Blue Springs Elks Lodge #2509, 100 NE Brizendine Road, BSMO
πŸ“… Dates: June 8–18, 2026
πŸ“ž To schedule an appointment: 816-404-6904

VFW Post 6603 encourages veterans and families in our community to help spread the word. If you know a veteran who could benefit from dental services, please share this information with them.

Together, we take care of those who served. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Memorial Day Weekend – Avenue of Flags at Blue Springs Cemetery πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This Memorial Day weekend, members of VFW Post 6603 and volunteers will once again honor our fallen heroes through our annual Avenue of Flags at Blue Springs Cemetery.

For generations, this tradition has served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

πŸ“ Timeline of Events

Saturday, May 23rd – 0900 Hours
Members of VFW Post 6603 and volunteers will begin laying out the flagpoles throughout the cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day.

Monday, May 25th – Memorial Day

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 0600 Hours – Raising of the Flags
More than 236 full-size American flags will be raised in honor of our remembered Veterans. We will also raise the military service flags and the Medal of Honor flag in recognition of Charles Barger.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 0900 Hours – Community Parade
A small parade will begin in downtown Blue Springs and travel to the cemetery.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 1000 Hours – Memorial Service
We will gather for a remembrance ceremony where the names of the 236 honored service members represented by the flags will be read aloud.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 1600 Hours – Retirement of the Flags
Members and volunteers will respectfully lower, fold, and store the flags and poles until next year.

We invite the community to come out, reflect, and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. May we never forget their courage, service, and sacrifice.

Another successful VFW Day of Service is in the books for VFW Post 6603 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We had a great turnout, accomplished our mission, shared plenty of laughs, and continued a proud 30-year tradition at Blue Springs Cemetery. Thanks to all of our members, Auxiliary, volunteers, and supporters who helped prepare the grounds for our upcoming Memorial Day events.

Because of your service today, we are ready to properly honor our nation’s heroes this Memorial Day.
