Work on the Downtown Streetscape Project begins this week with Phase 1, stretching along main Street from 15th to 12th Streets.

This first phase marks the beginning of improvements designed to create a safer, more welcoming and pedestrian-friendly Downtown Blue Springs. Residents and visitors can expect upgrades to sidewalks, streetscape features, landscaping and public spaces throughout the area.

Construction in this phase will bring temporary impacts to traffic and parking in the area, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as work gets underway. The attached map shows routes around the construction area.

Downtown businesses in the Phase 1 area remain open, and we encourage you to continue shopping local and supporting the businesses that make Downtown Blue Springs special.

We’ll continue to share updates throughout construction, including project milestones, traffic information and what to expect next.

Get ready, Blue Springs! As excitement builds for the June 12 World Cup Watch Party in Downtown Blue Springs featuring Team USA vs. Paraguay, you can now show your soccer spirit with limited-edition Blue Springs soccer scarves!

We have TWO exclusive scarf designs available for purchase for $30 each. These scarves are the perfect way to celebrate the World Cup, support Team USA and show off your Blue Springs pride all around town.

Scarves are available for purchase at the Carson Ross Community Recreation Complex and at the City Hall Development Counter.

They will also be available during the June 12 watch party while supplies last. Don’t wait, quantities are limited!
