We regret to inform you that as of 1/1/2023 BSSA is no longer. We have dissolved this entity and Blue Springs Recreational Softball will now be run by the City of Blue Springs. The board couldn't find enough volunteers to take over for the executive board that was retiring, and the expenses were going up drastically this coming year and we didn't want to pass that along to you all, so you can log onto http://www.bluespringsgov.com/2341/Youth-Softball and register. If you are a competitive team and would like practice fields, please contact Griffin Fellows at [email protected] or 816-228-0137 and he can set you up for the spring with practice fields.

Thank you for all the years of participation as we all appreciate the support and loved supporting your girls in the game, we all love!

Good afternoon!

Royals Charities is hosting a local MLB Pitch Hit & Run competition on Thursday, July 14th at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy. If you could pass this along to any resources that you have, that’d be greatly appreciated! Flyer is also attached.


Join the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy for the local Pitch Hit & Run competition sponsored by Major League Baseball. This FREE program gives athletes the opportunity to compete their way to Kauffman Stadium for the regional competition, and the MLB World Series for the finals!

When: Thursday, July 14th at 6:00pm.
Who: Youth ages 7-14 years old
Where: Kansas City Urban Youth Academy

GAMES FOR TONIGHT JUNE 16, 2022

All games will be moved back.....
first games that are scheduled for 6:00pm will now start at 7:30pm
second games that are scheduled for 7:30pm will now start at 9:00pm. Please make sure your athletes have plenty of water and take breaks when needed.

GAMES FOR JUNE 14, 2022 - due to heat advisory of 99 at 6pm and 96 at 7pm we will start games an hour later as scheduled. We have updated games on the bsgsa.net website - if you were scheduled to play at 6 you will not start at 7 and if you were scheduled to play at 7:30 you will now start at 8:30pm. Please make sure your athletes all have water and cool towels if needed.

Coaches: make sure to give your catchers water and many breaks if needed - the umpires are aware that they should grant water breaks when asked for them for ANY athlete on the field.
