It’s been one week since Jacob has been able to leave his home. A tree had fallen across his driveway which was long and barely visible. A friend of his who said his was “Cornbread” saw us working at Tammy’s house and asked could we help him out. We removed the tree that was blocking his drive and a couple of other limbs and even graded his driveway…just a little extra on purpose showing the love of God.

Tammy whose full story we may never know said she was hurt by a church in the past. After a devastating tornado ironically it was the church who was first to help her. Volunteers from Team Hope provided her with food and water and spent two days cleaning her property so she could get to her home. Their work also made it possible for the power company to place a line an and a pole on her property. Ladies from the The Assembly in Brookhaven and Faith Assembly in Myrtle took time talking with and praying for her. Pastor Jones from Wellmon Baptist Church took loads of clothes and washed them for her. His youth group came and began pick up and piece back her belongings. No one group claims glory. They all did it in the Name of Jesus. We all worked together for Him!

Team Hope volunteers helped this man who had fallen and was dehydrated. We helped him up gave him some Gatorade and a cool place to sit and recover

Team Hope Volunteers helping people I Bogue Chitto MS teams are still needed. We have a place to stay with showers. It’s rewarding work helping others even for a day.
