The Faribault County Master Gardeners are part of the U of MN Extension Volunteer program. All information on this site is

to be research or science-based from colleges & universities, horticultural societies, DNR, Dept. of Forestry, Mississippi Watershed, etc.

We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

This year at the 2026 Faribault County Fair the Faribault County Master Gardeners invited business throughout the county to participate at the Horticulture building with a planter or arrangement to show case their business. Announcement: Unfortunately, The Pink Cup Coffee Shop will be NOT able to attend the Faribault County Fair this year. The event was scheduled for July 24th from 5-7pm in the horticulture building. But the great news is they will be joining us in 2027. Please stop out to the Horticulture Building this week and see all the beautiful flowers, containers and plants.

Several of the Master Gardeners have come in to the KBEW radio station to share knowledge on the 1560 KBEW Radio Garden Show.
It is aired on the am station every Saturday at 8:15am. Tune in or listen on the website. Wendy Nickel is sharing here and Royce Murra the "Radio Man" guides us through the show with questions and answers!
