Atlantic Swimming (MAS) and its Certificate of Incorporation, Middle Atlantic has jurisdiction over the sport of competitive swimming and is responsible for the conduct and administration of swimming events within the boundaries of New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania as described above. In this capacity, MAS formulates rules, establishes policies and procedures, conducts swimming meets and other programs, and disseminates information to the membership.Middle Atlantic Swimming is organized according to the representative and participatory principles of USA Swimming. The House of Delegates of MAS consists of member club representatives, elected Athlete and Coach Representatives, members of the Board of Directors and at-large House of Delegate members. The MAS House of Delegates is responsible for managing the affairs of Middle Atlantic Swimming, Inc. and for the establishment of policies, procedures and programs. The House of Delegates meets in June of each year. During the intervals between meetings of the House of Delegates, the MAS Board of Directors, which is composed of elected officers and committee chairpersons, is charged with the responsibility for making decisions for the organization.Middle Atlantic Swimming is committed to offering a balanced competitive swimming program for athletes of all ages and ability levels. MAS also offers unique educational and training opportunities and experiences to our member athletes, coaches and volunteers in the form of local, regional and national level swimming camps, workshops and clinics.
