AD 120 Events & Charity needs your help ❤️

We work hard to create meaningful events and charity programs that support our community locally and in Israel. Every event, every donation, and every act of kindness helps us continue this mission
Right now, we are asking our community to come together and help us raise funds so we can keep these important programs going. No donation is too small, every dollar truly makes a difference.
Your support helps us:
✨ Continue community events
✨ Provide help to families in need
✨ Support charitable projects and outreach programs
✨ Keep building a stronger, caring community together

If you believe in what we do, please consider making a donation and sharing this post with others.
Thank you for being part of our journey and helping us continue making an impact ❤️

🇮🇱 Yom HaZikaron → Yom HaAtzmaut

In Israel, there’s no pause in between.

From our heaviest day… straight into our proudest.

Because if you separate the sacrifice from the independence, you lose the meaning of both.

Key Challah
חַלַּת מַפְתֵּחַ

Key Challah is a special Jewish custom in which a challah is baked in the shape of a key, or a key is placed inside the dough.

It is traditionally prepared on the first Shabbat after Passover.

The “key” symbolizes opening, and the idea behind the custom is:

🔓 Opening the gates of livelihood (abundance)
🙏 A prayer for blessing and success
🌱 A fresh start after Passover

There is a belief that during this time, the “gates of heaven” reopen, allowing blessings and sustenance to flow more freely

שִׁירַת הַיָּם

The Song of the Sea (Hebrew: Shirat HaYam) is a powerful and famous poem.

It expresses:

Gratitude and praise - thanking God for deliverance.
Victory over oppression - the escape from slavery in Egypt.
Faith and trust - recognizing divine power
Hope for the future - belief in reaching the Promised Land.

It was sung by the Israelites after they crossed the Red Sea and were saved from the Egyptians.

🌙 Why it is read at midnight on the 7th day of Passover-

The custom of reading Shirat HaYam at midnight on the seventh day of Passover comes from tradition and symbolism.

According to Jewish tradition, the miracle of the splitting of the Red Sea took place at night, reaching its climax around midnight:

The Israelites entered the sea at night
The Egyptians pursued them
The sea split and then closed by morning

Reading it at midnight allows us to relive the exact moment of the miracle and connect more deeply to the experience.
