Thank you for considering Blowing Rock Conference Center as the location for your upcoming event. We are a regional not-for-profit Outdoor Ministry Center serving a wide range of religious and nonprofit organizations during all seasons of the year. Our grounds and facilities provide spaces that are adaptable to your event, whether it is a camp for up to 250 youth, an all church event, a family reu

nion, cross country teams, or an adult conference. Our meeting rooms are at locations throughout our campus and are adaptable for plenary sessions, concerts, worship services, small group meetings, workshops, board meetings, and child care programs. Sound systems, recording equipment, projectors, and more are available upon request. Please contact our reservations office at 828-295-7813 weekdays between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm to make reservations or arrange a tour of the site.

One of the highlights of visiting us in Blowing Rock is its proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you come, be sure to take in its stunning beauty. Martha is fortunate to drive the Parkway to work each day, and we hope you enjoy some of the breathtaking views that she experiences regularly. You can access the Parkway directly from our location without needing to get on the main highway. It will truly be a blessing for you!

As we prepare for the summer season, we've been busy updating our outdoor dining walls and replacing the windows that have served us well over the years. Now, we can enjoy our stunning sunset and mountain views even better.
Ted has made our staging look brand new, while Jena has arranged beautiful flowers to welcome our guests as they arrive.
Will and Karen Tate Gray dedicated hours to revamping our flower bed by the entrance, adding a lovely butterfly to complete the look. We are excited to welcome our guests back this summer. You will always have your special place in the mountains to visit us.

We would like to express our gratitude to Rock Dimensions. Three members of our staff, along with an early arrival for the Retired Clergy, had the opportunity to use our on-site zip line.
Ian and Drew did a fantastic job ensuring that an 82-year-old, a 78-year-old, a 70-year-old, and a 24-year-old all had a joyful morning experience!

As we count down to the Retired Servants Retreat which begins on Sunday, May 3rd, we wanted to take a moment and remember those who have attended and have now passed on. Each of these people dedicated their time and support to the Blowing Rock Conference Center. And we are better for having their friendship, prayers, and support.

They were faithful servants who devoted their lives to guiding, teaching, and loving God's people. Though their voices may be silent now, their words continue to resonate in our hearts. Their prayers still surround us, their examples continue to inspire us, and their legacies light our path.

While we miss them dearly, we find comfort in knowing they now rest in the presence of the One they served so faithfully. Their work on earth is complete, but their impact will never fade.

We wish Eric Johnson a very Happy Birthday, our Executive Director from 1990 to 2001. During Eric's tenure, use of the Assembly Grounds continued to grow, additional property was purchased, and the critical demand for more adult and family space was addressed. In 1994, construction began on the expansion of the dining room and the South Corriher Lodge wing. The South wing is still our most requested lodging option.

This is Martha posting. I have so much appreciation for Eric taking a chance on hiring me in 1992. I had no idea that the next 34 years would be so amazing! I owe him quite a debt of gratitude for giving me the opportunity to meet, be part of, and build connections with so many wonderful communities.

Eric, we celebrate your many contributions to our site and your advanced technology skills, including building servers and installing networks, training staff to use the computers, so we were more than prepared when everything moved to computers.

Happy Birthday to Bill Bourdon, who served as our Executive Director from 2002 to 2017. He has retired to Albuquerque, NM, and we wish him a blessed birthday. We also want to express our gratitude for all he accomplished in making our organization a better place for our guests to enjoy and for helping us become debt-free.
