Saturday, Oct 3, 10 am - noon at The Blount County Multi-Purpose Center Indoor Arena!
👋Friends of the Locust Fork River, County Tourism , Nature Conservancy in Alabama, and Extension invite you and your family to an exciting live event with live raptors
from the Alabama 4-H Center and live turtles from the Locust Fork River. 🐢🦅
~ The birds-of-prey experience includes an up-close look at these amazing avians, a few of their stories and tips on how you can help protect them.
~ The turtles are shy amphibians that live among us, but stay out of sight. Seamus O’Brien is bringing them straight from the Locust Fork watershed.
~ Also, in the breezeway find Native Plants, a Happy Trails demonstration & FLFR Merch!

Bring the kids out Saturday morning for this free event hosted by Friends of the Locust Fork River!

We will be set up in the breeze way after the program for people to learn about Happy Trails and test drive our EcoRover!

We are hosting an open house from 9-12. Anyone can stop by to learn about Happy Trails, test drive an EcoRover, and explore our trail!

We will lead a group hike at 11 along the trail.

Come meet the people that work for our organization and learn about this amazing nonprofit!
