Firefighter/Paramedic Chase Maddox and his family are navigating a serious medical situation that has changed their lives in ways no family can fully prepare for. As Chase focuses on his health and the road ahead, his family is also facing the financial burden that can come with an unexpected medical crisis. Right now, Chase and his family need help from the community he has dedicated himself to serving.

Chase has dedicated himself to a profession built around showing up for others on some of the hardest days of their lives. Right now, we have an opportunity to show up for him.

Jackson County Firefighters IAFF Local has organized a GoFundMe to provide direct financial assistance to Chase and his family as they navigate the road ahead. Every donation, no matter the amount, can help ease some of that burden. And if you aren't able to give, sharing the fundraiser can help it reach someone who can.

We responded to this fire and she is a true hero. Please keep the man she saved in your thoughts and prayers as he is recovering at the hospital in burn unit with severe burns.

16-year-old Marianna High School student Avery Carmichael's drive home from school Monday turned into a scene straight from a movie.

She was taking her normal route home, when she spotted smoke in the distance. Her gut told her this was more than just someone burning leaves in their yard.

***SPACEX LAUNCH ALERT***
Hopefully we will get to see it, everyone this will be at 4:33AM central time.

🚀 Tomorrow morning, (Tuesday) just before sunrise, we have a really good chance of seeing a jellyfish cloud over Georgia and Metro Atlanta.

Space X has a Starlink launch scheduled at 5:33 AM tomorrow morning. With mostly clear skies, we'll likely be able to see the rocket plume illuminated by sunlight while we're still in darkness on Earth. The only real variable is whether or not there's any delay in the launch. Which even then, I don't see any weather standing in its way.
