Hello friends! We are excited to welcome back the current students and welcome the incoming students to the new school year. At the moment, a lot of our current VSA members have come back to Bloomington and are hanging out, waiting for school to start. If you are a new student or a current student interested in joining Vietnamese Student Association, feel free to comment below or send us a private message so that we may meet up, hang out, or even help you move in!

Michael A. McRobbie has concluded the historic first official visit by a standing Indiana University president to Vietnam, wrapping up two days of meetings with educational and governmental officials and IU alumni.

Cuối tuần vừa rồi, 1 vài thành viên của hội học sinh Việt Nam ở Indiana University đã tham dự "Midwest Soccer Tournament - Mizzou, Spring 2014" tại University of Missouri. Đội bóng của IU liên quân với Illinois Institute of Tecnology đã thi đấu xuất sắc và đạt cúp bạc. Các thành viên của VSA tại IU muốn gởi lời cảm ơn các anh chị em Mizzou đã tổ chức thành công giải bóng đá Midwest vừa rồi. Không những có chỗ ở ăn uống đàng hoàng, mà còn có phóng viên rất chuyên nghiệp. Mọi người đều rất vui và mong muốn sẽ có những dịp gặp gỡ giao lưu như thế này hơn nữa!

Last weekend, some of our members attended the "Midwest Soccer Tournament - Mizzou, Spring 2014" hosted by the Vietnamese Student Association at University of Missouri. We teamed up with friends from Illinois Institute of Technology, played our best and took home second place! We would like to thank VSA at MIzzou for successfully hosting the tournament and providing us food and accommodation. We really enjoyed our time together and look for more to come!

A great time together! A big thank you goes to all teams from various states and universities. You guys made this tournament a successful one. Thank you, the Mizzou teams, all the organizers + who made this event possible. See you guys again, somewhere in the Midwest, right?

Dear Hội Thanh niên Sinh viên tại Indiana,

You are invited to the 2nd Annual I Love Vietnam Talent/Culture Show, hosted by the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association of Greater Washington Area. The Vietnamese people, culture, and language hold a dear place in our hearts and there is no better way to celebrate the common passion than to participate in the show. There are 2 parts to this amazing night:

1. Talent: we invite all schools/organizations to submit their performances via this submission link. Since the theme is I Love Vietnam, we encourage the performance to express that theme in your own creative and unique way We will feature 5 finalists to perform live on April 5th. The prizes are as followed, in equivalent: 1st-$300, 2nd-$200, 3rd-$100.
2. Culture: We are honored to invite Ngân An Áo Dài Company, one of the most famous and oldest Vietnamese traditional dress maker in Hanoi, to showcase their collection at the show. Designer Anh Thư will join us at the show as one of the judges for the Talent portion of the show. Besides that, we also encourage schools/organizations to submit their own cultural performances via the submission link (clearly state that this is for the cultural portion of the show) and we will feature 1 student performance for the night.

We send our warmest welcome to you. This is your chance to meet people you wouldn’t normally run into and create worldwide meaningful friendships! The show will be on April 5th, 7PM, at Kay Spiritual Center of American University.
